Anděl: Temporary restriction of the entry to and exit from the metro station
Due to replacement of escalators and other works, the entry to and exit from the Anděl metro station, in the direction to the Anděl intersection, will be closed from Monday, the 18th of September 2017 (from the launch of the operation) until further notice (estimation June 2018). During the works, both the entry and exit of passengers will only be possible via the lobby in the direction to the bus turning loop Na Knížecí (in the distance of approximately 300 metres from the closed entrance).
For transfer from tram lines to metro line B, it is also possible to use the stations Smíchovské nádraží and Karlovo náměstí. This option will be highlighted by an announcement in selected tram lines.
- Several kinds of informational leaflets will be issued. The leaflets will be available in the informational showcases of the metro stations as well as at the information clerks of the Prague Public Transit Company in the Anděl metro station surroundings.
- From Thursday, the 14th of September 2017, the upcoming restriction will also be announced in all metro stations. At the same time, the warning and the information will be published in Metro journal.
- In the first days of the restriction, always from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., sufficient number of information clerks with reflective vests will be deployed at the Anděl metro station. They will be ready to advise passengers on current public transport connections (not only in Czech, but also in English). The information clerks will also be equipped with the aforementioned informational leaflets for passengers.
Restriction of the Anděl Information Centre operation:
The restriction will affect also the Anděl Information Centre, which will not be in operation for the period of the closure of the entry to the station. In this context, the opening hours of selected information centres will be extended and the passengers can also use the services of the Anděl ticket office (Na Knížecí). An overview of the information centres can be found at this link.
